How does your subscription service work, and what makes it different?
We have designed this service to be the friendliest, easiest, and most complete service on the Internet. What makes us different is our completely adaptable system, designed to fit your needs. No major deposits, no long-term commitments, no set shipping schedules. Everything is customizable for you, the user. You decide what to buy, and when. You decide when to ship your books and what shipping method. All comics are purchased only one issue in advance, so you can cancel anytime. Also, all comics come Boarded and Bagged at no cost for that extra service, security, and savings.

How does the subscription work once I sign up?
When you choose to subscribe to a title, you are only charged the price for the current issue. This first payment begins your subscription, and entitles you to the next current issue of the selected title. No further payments are required at the time you sign-up.

Issues on your subscription list are 'pulled' for you when they arrive, and placed in your personal “Hold Box,” (located in your Customer Account area on our website for Mail-Order titles, or at your local store for In-Store titles). You will receive a courtesy e-mail notice when new titles are added to your "Hold Box".

Items remain in your "Hold-Box" until you login to your Customer Account Area and purchase them. By handling your subscriptions this way, you are always paid in full, one month in advance, ensuring that you will never miss a single issue of all your favorite titles. Each time a new issue is released, it is placed in your "Hold-Box", and you are charged for the next issue. All books placed in your hold box have a 30 day expiration cycle, so you can purchase them at any point during that time period.

How do I set up my subscriptions?
Just go to the subscriptions page and select the books you want. You can even search by publishers or title. Once you select your choices, you will register your account, choose your payment info (no payments are ever charged without previous authorization), and confirm you order. After that, your order will be pending until it can be processed by our staff. Processing will generally occur within 2 days, but can take up to 2 weeks depending on order cutoffs. Once a title has been approved from pending status, it will appear in your subscriptions list, and can be managed in your account area.

Can I subscribe for In-Store pickup?
If you are fortunate enough to live near one of our fine stores, you may use this site to keep your hold list current at any of our locations. Simply chose your titles, select the store you wish for your books to be held at, and we will update your store box accordingly. However, using the website subscription service falls under the same terms regarding deadlines and activation times as other website subscribers, and changes made at our stores may not be immediately available for viewing on the site.

When and how often are new comics released?
New comics release every Wednesday. Individual comics usually release, on the average, once a month. However, comics can have release schedules of bi-monthly, twice a month, 14 issues a year, or any other frequency. Since you only pay for the next issue to be released, you never have to worry about late books or cancelled series you’ve paid months in advance for!

What if there are multiple covers of a title?
Unless you subscribe to a specific title if it is offered under a separate code, orders with multiple titles will be filled randomly. That said, you can email your requests to subscriptions@silverbulletcomics.com for specific needs, and we will do our best to meet them, if possible. You can also purchase the exact cover you want separately in our shopping section, and explain in the notes of your order your preference. After pre-purchases, all limited variants will be filled randomly. Equal variants will be filled by user request, and then randomly.

Are there a minimum number of titles required?
There are NO minimums (unless you consider “one” to be a minimum)! Be it one book or one hundred books, Silverbulletcomics.com has you covered. NOONE else offers that level of service.

Can I subscribe to more than one copy of any title?
It’s your Hold Box, and you can subscribe to titles any way you see fit. Since you only pay one issue in advance, getting multiple titles for one issue, one story arc, or for every issue is as easy as changing your order numbers in the “My Account” section.

When and how often will my titles be shipped?
That is completely up to you. Subscription titles will be placed in your hold box with an expiration date of 30 days later. These titles can be scheduled for delivery at any point during that time by selecting them.

What condition and printing are your comics?
All our books are Near Mint, unread, and straight from the printer. Additionally, all comics are boarded and bagged at no additional charge. All comics are first printings unless otherwise noted.

How much does shipping subscriptions cost?
Shipping is calculated by weight and the method selected, so it depends on the number of titles, distance, and delivery times. Rates are obtained straight from the usps.com and ups.com sites.

Is international shipping available?
It will be soon. We are putting the final touches on our international shipping system, and should have it up and running soon. In the mean time, any request for international shipping should contact us at subscriptions@silverbulletcomics.com to establish an account.

How can I add or delete titles from my subscription?
New subscriptions may be added from the subscriptions page. Subscriptions can be managed from your “My Account” page. Once there, click the “Subscriptions” tab, and review your current titles. Titles shown in red are slated for removal. To choose an active title for deletion, click the large “X” beside the title and confirm your choice. Cancellations may take up to 3 weeks to process, depending on title and publisher order deadlines, but can often be processed within 72 hours.

What is the deadline for modifying my subscription?
While there is no set deadline for subscription changes, all subscriptions are subject to up to a three-week pending period for changes or modifications. This is due to the nature of comics orders, and the ability to guarantee availability from a publisher. If 5 million people suddenly ordered Batman, 3 weeks would be the cutoff to guarantee those new subscriptions. It will not happen often that there is a delay, but be aware that it might occur when managing your account.

What happens if I let a title expire in my hold box after 30 days?
In the case that you do not schedule the shipment of a title from your hold box before it expires (and do not contact us beforehand), your subscription will be cancelled, and the titles currently in your box will be used to create an invoice. Any current balance you have on your subscriptions will be applied to the invoice, with shipping, and will be sent to you immediately. If a balance remains, you will be contacted to pay the reminder, and upon payment, the books will be sent.

If my subscriptions expire, or I cancel my subscription service, can I sign up again later?
Absolutely. With our system of paying only for the current issue you subscribe to, it is easy to once again rejoin our system by logging in and selecting the books you would like to add to your list. All accounts in good standing may start, stop, suspend, or affect their list any way they see fit.

What is the status of my order?
You should be able to verify the status of your order on the site at any time by checking the “My Account” area.   • 1. Contracting Party
    Your subscription contract will be fulfilled by Silver Bullet Comics, a company registered in North Carolina, USA whose registered office is at 1539 Hanes Mall Blvd, Winston Salem 27103, together with its agents and sub-contractors.

  • 2. When the subscription contract is formed
    When you click "Submit Order" to submit your order on-line, or you fax, post or telephone us with details of your order, you are making an offer to take out a subscription which if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract.

    If placing your order on-line your credit/debit card will not be debited when you click "Submit Order". Payments will be processed during order confirmation, with the exception of Paypal transfers (subject to their own terms). Although you will either see a page or receive an email if you have supplied your email address acknowledging that your order has been received successfully and is being processed, the contract between us is not formed at this point. A legally binding contract is formed on the date we send you electronic confirmation of your order.

    You will receive this written confirmation within 5 days of confirming your order. We will not be responsible if you fail to receive the written confirmation because you have supplied us with an incorrect email address.

    We reserve the right not to accept or process your order for any reason. All orders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by your payment card issuer. If we do not accept your order and your credit/debit card or Paypal account has already been debited, we will notify you and refund your card in full immediately.

  • 3. Right to refuse orders
    We reserve the right not to fulfill and to cancel orders:

    • 3.1 in the event of obvious inaccuracies in prices, except that we may fulfil your order at the correct price;

    • 3.2 if we are unable to obtain payment authorisation from the issuer of your payment card.

    • 3.3 if we for any reason feel that completing the order will create risk on our behalf.

  • 4. Delivery
    We will deliver all subscriptions to the address you notify to us when you place your order. You agree that we will not be responsible for failure to deliver subscriptions if you have supplied us with an incorrect address. We reserve the right to dispose of incorrectly addressed envelopes and their contents without an obligation to refund you or any other person if they are returned to us and despite efforts to contact you we do not receive correct address details.

  • 5. Delay in delivery and non-delivery
    We will not be liable to you for any delay in delivery or non-delivery of magazines in the following circumstances:

    • 5.1 where the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us;

    • 5.2 where such delay or failure is due to circumstances beyond our control or the control of our sub–contractors, distributors, and agents, including but not restricted to war, electricity power failure, utilities failure, failure of telecommunications links, failure of transport infrastructure, fire, flood, government act, act of God, legislative constraints, financial institution distress, strikes, labour disputes or malicious damage involving employees.

  • 6. Cancellations and Refunds
    You may cancel your subscription contract at any time during the subscription by notifying our customer services team through your account. Cancelled books may take up to 3 weeks to process due to standing orders. You will be responsible for all books related to a subscription until cancellation processes. We will refund your account a credit of the cost of any issues not yet issued to you at the time your notification to us of desire to cancel processes. If your subscription expires past it’s 30 days in your hold box without scheduling a delivery, your subscriptions will be automatically cancelled, and your contract ended. Once your pending cancellations have processed (up to 3 weeks) all books held in your box will be invoiced for shipment. Your balance for subscriptions will be deducted from your invoice, and either a bill sent for the remainder, or a credit issued for the overage. Once the invoice has been satisfied, the books will ship. Accounts brought to current this way may then reopen their subscriptions, pending no balance due on the account.

  • 7. Price Information
    Although we try to ensure that all prices are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of your order, we will inform you as soon as possible. If the amount is decreased from stated price, your order will ship at the lower price, while a refund to your account of the difference if you have already paid when the new price is determined will be made. If the amount is increased from stated price, you will have the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled. We will refund you in full if you cancel the order and have already paid.

  • 8. Credit Card Payment
    If you are under 18 or are not using your own credit/debit card to pay for the subscription, you must ask the permission of the credit/debit cardholder before entering the payment details, and have them present to accept liability. By clicking "Submit" you are confirming that you have obtained the express prior permission and are in the presence of the credit/debit cardholder.

  • 9. Liability
    Our liability to you in the event of subscriptions being lost in despatch shall at our discretion, be limited either to replacement of the missing issues or refund of the cost of the missing issues. To the extent permitted by law we exclude all other liability to you. Our exclusions of liability shall not apply to any damages arising from death or personal injury caused by our negligence or that of any of our employees or agents. These Terms and Conditions do not and shall not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

  • 10. Return Policy
    We do not accept returns except in the instance of damaged, defective, or incorrect items due to our negligence. We will pay return shipping cost in credit if the return is the result of our error. We do not accept returns under any circumstance after 30 days of delivery; on any book that has obvious signs of use; any CD, DVD, VHS, or other product that has been opened (taken out of its plastic wrap); or on any item not in its original condition, that is damaged, or is missing parts.

  • 11. Third Party Rights
    A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce or rely upon any provision of them.

  • 12. Use of Personal Information
    We use the personal and transactional information (e.g. name, address, e-mail address, credit card details) ("Personal Information") you supply to us in order to fulfil your subscription order.

  • 13. Unauthorised access to personal information
    Unless a member of our staff has been fraudulent or negligent, we will not be liable to you for any losses you may suffer as a result of unauthorised access by a third party to the information (including in particular credit/debit card details) you transmit when you place an order. It is your responsibility to ensure the security of your own credit/debit card details to avoid unauthorised use.

  • 14. Polybagged or inserted articles
    If any of our products are put on sale by the publisher in the Direct Market polybagged with inserts, or are bound with inserts, your subscription copy will also contain the relevant addition.

  • 15. Variation
    We may change these Terms and Conditions at any time upon giving you 10 days prior written notice.

  • 16. Prize Draw and Competition Rules
    All prize draws and competitions which are associated with our subscription offers are subject to separate terms and conditions. For the avoidance of doubt, such prize draws and competitions are only open to you if you are able to supply us with a billing address in the US.

  • 17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
    North Carolina law governs these Terms and Conditions. You hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the North Carolina courts notwithstanding the jurisdiction where you are based.

  • 18. Entire Agreement
    These Terms and Conditions override any contrary terms or conditions published by us in relation to any order placed by you with us.
